Layam

The Design Studio of Had Space

At Had Space, every project is approached with a deep sensitivity to context, material integrity, and enduring quality. Our work balances form and function, translating design intent into spaces that are practical, refined, and long-lasting. We collaborate closely with our clients throughout the process, ensuring that each outcome is shaped not only by vision, but by clarity and purpose.

Our services are structured yet adaptable, responding to the specific needs of each project while maintaining a consistent standard of design excellence. From private residences to larger developments, we take a holistic approach—considering architecture, experience, and environment as one unified system.

Layam is the physical design studio of Had Space, shaped by the principles of rhythm, balance, and thoughtful creation. It is a space where ideas are explored with patience and precision, allowing design to evolve through dialogue, observation, and intent.

More than a workplace, Layam reflects how we practice architecture—measured, grounded, and human-centric. It is where materials, light, and proportion are carefully studied, and where each project finds its natural pace before taking form.

A space should not demand attention, it should reward presence.

Architect & Founder

Vasanth is an architect and entrepreneur whose work is shaped by a deep interest in how spaces influence human experience. An alumnus of IIT Madras, his journey spans architecture, design strategy, and venture building, giving him a balanced perspective across creativity, technology, and execution.

His approach to architecture is grounded in clarity, restraint, and context. Rather than following trends, he focuses on creating spaces that are purposeful, enduring, and emotionally resonant spaces designed to age well and serve real lives.

Alongside his architectural practice, Vasanth has been involved in building and scaling entrepreneurial ventures, allowing him to approach design with a strong understanding of systems, feasibility, and long-term value. Through Had Space and its design studio Layam, he brings together human-centered thinking, material sensitivity, and strategic intent to shape refined residential and commercial environments.
